Laser scanner's are tyically move around the part being scanned. Small projects could be 2 or 3 scans, large project can be sevral hundred scans.
These scans are registered into a groups or a single point cloud.
Point clouds can be sectioned or meshed.
P oint clouds or meshs can be processed into NURB surfaces, making the deliverable lightweight and editable.
These files can be simple, parametric, surface or soild models.
