Laser scanner's are tyically move around the part being scanned. Small projects could be 2 or 3 scans, large project can be sevral hundred scans.
These scans are registered into a groups or a single point cloud.
Point clouds can be sectioned or meshed.
oint clouds or meshs can be processed into NURB surfaces, making the deliverable lightweight and editable.
These files can be simple, parametric, surface or soild models.
